The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is completing an effort to develop a Strategic Plan that identifies and prioritizes the agencys activities for the next five years. During the past year, the department has experienced many challenges, causing us to look at things from a different perspective and now leading us to recognize the value of this strategic planning endeavor.
A few months ago, DNR shared draft language and requested comments from staff, partners and stakeholders. The public input gathered has been critically important to how the mission, vision and goals have evolved into a draft plan. We are seeking input and inviting comment on the draft plan.
