Reiter Trail Watch
Minutes – 11/10/2010
Meeting started at 7:04 pm.
Pres report-
RTW forum use, there for business. Use it.
Focus RTW efforts on motorized use only / motorized area at New Reiter. Re-write mission statement and by-laws? “Efforts geared towards where the ( volunteer) resources come from.”
Make clear (to public) intentions of RTW and it’s members.
Vise Pres report-
Official BOD list for bank account.
Set up Paypal, next week.
C.O.R.E. donation can now be accepted/deposited - $500
Create RTW letterhead.
Secretary’s report-
None.
Treasurers report-
Bank account open.
$643.03 in checking / $5 in savings, will spend $12 for checks.
$150 limit on buying canopy/tent for RTW functions. Motion approved.
Event Coordinators report-
Open house at Reiter Sunday the 14th. Show support for motorized Reiter, preparation for SEPA comment period.
Food and booth-RTW, donations for various food items. Set up “donation can” – general.
Deer Flats Rd will be open to licensed motorized vehicles – easy access to “single track” sections.
Alleged possible protest by "single track users" at Open House on 14th.
Wilderness Society meeting on Wed 11/10 at Reiter with Event Coordinator – Director, Correspondence, Land Use Director were present. Purpose - view Reiter from first hand experience. Dismiss rumors. Would like mutual acceptance and a working relationship with ORV users; and vise versa - partnership. Wilderness Society will (soon) come to RTW meeting to explain their position and intentions to group. Unite ALL outdoor enthusiasts with one voice – a coalition.
New Business-
Puyallup Swap Meet - RTW booth, relaying information to others and donation collecting.
13 people at meeting.
